Celebrations - ‘Where do you think you are?’
This summer Junction Arts ‘On Tour’ visited two village galas in South Normanton and Whitwell on 5th July. Working with Mosaic artists Andrew Wynne and Lesley Robinson, children, young people and families had the opportunity to design and create mosaic tiles focusing on heritage exploring individual opinions and perceptions of the local environment entitled ‘Where do you think you are?’. In addition, we invited members of local history groups to create an exhibition of local photographs from days gone by to encourage families to share stories about their lives and hopes for the future.
